I was digging through some old pictures of Lil S and found this video from when he was 5 months old. He was already sitting up, which AJ hasn't quite mastered yet and she's almost 6 months old. Excuse the camera tilt halfway through, don't really know what that was all about :)

She's up!

AJ figured out to get it in gear, now she just has to find the gas peddle. Translation: AJ got up on all fours today and is fixin to crawl!

The Screecher

Drumroll please....

This is AJ doing that horrible screeching sound I wrote about earlier. Its terrible, but I've managed to block it out most of the time. Except tonight she was doing it just because she was tired and it was only 6pm so I was trying to keep her up a little longer. Unfortunately she ended up waking Daddy so that was the end of that! Off to bed she went :)

First Day of School

Well we survived! Lil S was not happy having to wake up so early, or about getting dressed, or having his picture taken, or driving to school... But once we got there and into his classroom he was ok with me leaving him. Afterwards a few of us moms got together and had coffee which was WAY therapeutic!

Last night Stephen was eating these Vanilla Cream cookies and AJ was watching him so he gave her one. She took to it like a rabid dog!!!

Open House

Tonight was Open House for Lil S. We got to meet his teacher, Ms. Duhon. She seems nice yet not so nice that Lil S will walk all over her. PERFECT! I love my boy, but he needs a strong hand to guide him. We visited his classroom and found his locker and sorted through all his millions of school supplies. If you haven't been to school in the last 10 years let me tell ya how they do things now! Each student is responsible for a HUGE LIST of school supplies. It's ridiculous! Luckily our school gave us the option of paying the school to buy them for us so they were there waiting for us to sort through. A VERY convenient feature :) There are 17 kids in his class, 10 girls and 7 boys. He doesn't want to admit it but I think he's looking forward to Monday now :)

Lots of random stuff

OK OK, lots to make up for here.

Cheryl came to town this last weekend and we escaped to College Station for some girl time. we had so much fun! It was sooo relaxing to just get away and not have to worry if I packed enough formula :)

Then on Monday it rained cats and dogs for about and hour and then we had clear skies. Here's Lil S enjoying the rain.

Tonight I was changing AJ's bedding and in the time it took me to walk to the washer and back he did this to her.

At bedtime we filmed this.

Lil S starts school on Monday. Tomorrow night is Open House and we'll get to meet his teacher. I think i'm more excited than he is :)
